侯一民在广东工作期间，在一个偏僻山沟里发现一群“代耕农”。他们没有清晰的社会身份，自己开荒种地，靠劳动养活自己，并在那里生育后代。艺术家与他们相处到像一家人，他们对镜头不再防备，因此留下了非常近距离、非常真实的生活影像。 While working in Guangdong, Hou Yimin found a group of "Daigeng farmers" in a remote mountain valley. They had no clear social identity, reclaimed land themselves, survived by farming, and raised children there. Hou became close enough to them that the camera was no longer resisted, allowing unusually intimate images of daily life.

艺术家确认：因为他们生活非常偏僻，侯一民曾买过两只狼仔送给他们养；但他的原则是尽量不改变他们的原始生活状态。这条原则必须和作品一起保留，否则外界容易把项目误读为外来者对乡村生活的改造。 Artist-confirmed: because their life was extremely remote, Hou once bought two wolf pups for them to raise; his principle, however, was to avoid changing their original way of life as much as possible. This principle must stay with the project to avoid misreading the work as outside intervention or staged transformation.
