艺术家档案说明:1997 年成都国际熊猫节期间,邮电部发行“中国四川成都 '97 国际熊猫节电话 IC 卡”,一套四张,四张卡面全部采用侯一民野生大熊猫摄影作品;总面值 200 元,销售价 240 元,发行约 300 万套。国际熊猫节期间,成都大街小巷电话亭曾张贴相关宣传海报。这说明熊猫作品已经从摄影艺术进入公众可购买、可使用、可收藏的通信产品和城市传播系统。 According to the artist's archive, during the 1997 Chengdu International Panda Festival, China's Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued the set titled Telephone IC Card of International Panda Festival '97 Chengdu Sichuan China. The set contained four cards, and all four card-face images used Hou Yimin's wild giant panda photographs. The total face value was RMB 200, the recorded sale price was RMB 240 per set, and the issue volume was approximately three million sets. Related promotional posters were posted on telephone booths throughout Chengdu during the festival. This shows the panda works moving from photographic art into public telecommunications products and urban circulation that people could buy, use, and collect.

The autobiographical book 2000 Days in the Forest was described as about 100,000 words with 150 high-quality wild panda photographs, presenting both the photographer's adventure and the living condition of wild pandas.
